Midterm Exams

Midterm exams will take place during discussion sections.  They are multiple choice. Students with CSD accommodations who wish to use them for exams should request proctoring via MyAccess at least 7 business days in advance.

Exams: Exam 3 and the Final Exam will be administered online via HuskyCT. Notes, books, and calculators will be allowed; however, any collaboration with others will be considered academic misconduct.

Midterm Exam 1

Midterm Exam 1 is week 4. It covers Sections 2.1 – 2.3, 2.5 – 2.8, and 3.1. Practice problems will be posted as the exam date approaches. Use these practice problems, in addition to other course materials, as a guide to determine what you need to study. Solutions will be posted on Tuesday, 2/11.

Exam Date: During the discussion section on Wednesday 2/12

Midterm Exam 2

Midterm Exam 2 is week 8. It covers Sections 3.2 – 3.6, 3.8 – 3.10 and 4.8. Practice problems will be posted as the exam date approaches. Use these practice problems, in addition to other course materials, as a guide to determine what you need to study. Solutions will be posted on Tuesday, 3/10.

Exam Date: During the discussion section on Wednesday 3/11

Midterm Exam 3

Midterm Exam 3 is week 12. It covers Sections 4.1 – 4.4, 4.7, 4.9 and 5.1 – 5.3. Practice problems will be posted as the exam date approaches. Use these practice problems, in addition to other course materials, as a guide to determine what you need to study. Solutions will be posted on Tuesday, 4/14.

Exam Date: Online via HuskyCT on Wednesday 4/15

Final Exam

All students will take the final exam online at the same time, from 3:30-5:30 pm on Wednesday, May 6.

The final exam is cumulative (it covers sections 2.1-2.3, 2.5-2.8, 3.1-3.6, 3.8-3.10, 4.1-4.9, 5.1-5.5, and 6.1-6.2) and will consist of both multiple choice and free response questions.

Practice problems will be posted as the exam date approaches. Use these practice problems, in addition to other course materials, as a guide to determine what you need to study. Solutions will be posted on Monday, May 4.

The use of calculators IS NOT allowed on exams 1 and 2.

In case of a missed exam, please contact your instructor as soon as you know you will miss it, and no later than 24 hours after the exam.

Per University policy, all requests to reschedule or make up the final exam must be submitted to the Dean of Students for approval. Please note that vacations, previously purchased tickets or reservations, social events, misreading the exam schedule and over-sleeping are not viable excuses for missing a final exam.
