Math 1071 Exam Info (Spring 2021)

Format

All midterm exams will be given on HuskyCT during your regularly scheduled class time. The final exam will be given during the exam block scheduled by the university.  The exam requires the use of Lockdown Browser with monitor or WebEx proctoring, both which requires a WebCam. Check with your instructor to see which is required for your class. More information is available here: https://irc.uconn.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/77/2020/03/Student-Guide-for-LockDown-Browser.pdf  Exams will consist of multiple choice questions (~13) and free response questions(~2). On the free response questions, you will be asked to submit your work.

Calculators:

We will show demos in class using Desmos.com, a free online graphing calculator.  This is allowed (and encouraged) on all exams. You may not use any other calculators. 


Exams

There will be three midterm exams and a cumulative final:

  • Exam 1:
    • Feb 12, during class time on HuskyCT
    • Worth 15% of your final grade.
    • Covers A.1, A.2, A.6 1.1-1.5
  • Exam 2:
    • March 12, during class time on HuskyCT.
    • Worth 15% of your final grade.
    • Covers 3.1-3.4 and 4.1-4.5
  • Exam 3:
    • April 9, during class time on HuskyCT.
    • Worth 15% of your final grade.
    • Covers 5.1-5.6 and 6.1
    • Final Exam:
      • Final Exam Week
      • Worth 15% of your final grade.
      • Cumulative. During Final Exam Week during the time scheduled by Registrar’s office. Covers all sections covered during the course.
